Event Details

Join us for a swap at the Glendora Community Garden (on Glendora Ave. between Foothill Blvd. and Carroll Ave.) on Saturday, May 11 at 11:30 a.m.!

About

We gather together simply in the name of creating community by exchanging homemade and homegrown goods such as breads, desserts, fruit, sauces, etc. Find us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter. All are welcome to attend parties hosted by SGV East Food Swap, which operates as a private club. Just remember: Money is not accepted, bring something to swap, and if you bring family members or friends, you must pre-register each person separately.

Etiquette

Bring as much or little as you prefer--it's completely up to you. Please also protect your goods by packaging them well, keeping in mind that swapping is easier when the food is separated into quantities ready to be exchanged. Most people bring samples as well. If you realize you cannot attend after registering, please let us know 48 hours in advance, so we can offer your ticket to others who can make it.

History

Reading about original food swappers Kate Payne and Megan Paska and attending a Pasadena Food Swap was all it took to convince us that the East San Gabriel Valley and its neighbors would enjoy a swap of their own. Learn more about this phenomenon and find other swaps at the Food Swap Network.
